Organ and Handbell Duet

Walk off the Earth hooked up with the Tri-Borough Music Hub Chamber Choir to perform a version of WOTE's original song Fifth Avenue. Filmed at the histroic Royal Albert Hall in London UK at WOTE's sold out show in May 2018. This video was sponsored by Ontario Creates and edited in Ontario Canada. The LISTENERS 

​

An acoustic improvising contemporary music ensemble. Members are a group of music practitioners and sound artists from Hong Kong. Inspired by the diverse musical backgrounds, the group explores the interaction between real-time collective improvisational artefacts and the sonic environment . THE LISTENERS organised musical projects with performances , sound art installation and musical reinterpretation of surrounding environments. Members of the group are also involved in educational projects promoting active music making and collaborating with other artists from different disciplines across London and Hong Kong

This is a first Goodenough College recital featuring Goodenough members and children - where students of all ages will showcase what they are learning! 

An exciting opportunity and was the first-time performance for most involved, and so the more support we can give each other the better :) 

Family singalong activities are included in the event too !

Teachers’ workshop: 不一樣的音樂課，我可以嗎？

A workshop using fun, practical techniques to explore different aspects of music, ideas

including :

​

Let’s not forget as music teacher, we are the brightest minds in the field, and we do have a

number of skills and expertise to offer, too. Serve with tea and coffee, our aim is to get you

chatting, fired up on new ideas and excited to share what’s working well in your teaching

practice, and to discuss all of this in the company of like-minded practitioners. Through peer-

to-peer learning, this imitative hope to support music practitioners the heart of its approach;

and everyone’s invited to contribute.

Sharing Focus: 

- From sound exploration (vocal, body percussion, simple object/ instrument etc) to some

exciting rhythmic pattern (e.g. Samba, Bhangra). 

- From improvisation to ensemble (also the technique to lead this activity)

- From game songs to music creativity activity 

- From I pad to manuscript

In this presentation, Lam will share about her practice of music making in her hometown during summer. Who can make music?  Local communities, classical trained musicians and educators were invited to participate in this exercise. They listen to the world (Landscape) and make meaning of it( Soundscape) . Sharing and conversations are encouraged during music making practices.

What would happen if this exercise brought into your “daily lives”? Items found in the city during practice will also exhibit during the presentation. Take the opportunity to see if you would like to bring anything home while you enjoy the presentation.
